Director of Missions / Staff

 

Our Director, Stan Smith

 
Stan Smith surrendered to the ministry on August 26th of 1973. He and his wife, Monica, have one daughter, three sons and four grandchildren. He began his ministry as our Director of Missions in the fall of 2007.  Prior to serving as our Director, he served in ministry positions in both Texas and Tennessee including fifteen years as Pastor of FBC, Henderson, Tennessee and three years as Mission Pastor to FBC, Houston, Texas.  He has participated and led missions to Ukraine, Thailand, Ecuador and Alaska and has served in various associational and denominational leadership positions. He graduated Union University with a BA and currently completing MCS Degree in May of 2011.  
 

Ministry Assistant, Cindy James
 
Cindy James began working at Big Hatchie as the Billing Coordinator for the Counseling Center in March of 2003 and in March of 2004 began her new position as Ministry Assistant to the Director of Missions. She and her husband Byron and three children moved to the area the summer of 2002 appointed by the North American Mission Board to plant a church in the Atoka area. She and her husband serve in that church, Hope Community in Atoka, that constituted in 2007. Prior to serving at Big Hatchie she served as a Purchasing Assistant at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and did medical billing / customer service for MediServ, Inc.    

Office Assistant, Bobbye Timberlake

 
Bobbye Timberlake began working at Big Hatchie in 2007 as the Office Assistant.  She and her husband Charles currently serve at Liberty Baptist in Covington.  They have three sons and one daughter.
